Tech Youth Digital Skills

The project ‘Tech Youth: Digital Skills” will gather 18 youth workers from Spain, Estonia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Italy. The main goal of the Training Course is to train participants with digital knowledge and digital tools.
Youth work has become more and more important for facilitating an active engagement and participation of young people, to promote their empowerment and the development of working together as partners.

The project is going to cover several topics: steps to create a webpage, free software (OpenOffice, Gimp, Linux), basic Excel management, SEO and Internet advertising, computer security, database management, online work platforms (Trello, Slack, google drive) …
Participants are going to work side by side with trainers and experts in order to prepare a PDF document that is going to assemble all the workshops, activities and conclusions of the Training Course. They will use this document as dissemination of the project.
The target group of this project is represented by people with background in non-profit organizations: youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, staff and professionals who can improve their digital knowledge and digital tools in a non-formal learning context, such as a training course, exchange, seminar, international event, workshop. We are encouraging the participation of resourceful members in facilitating youth projects, events, seminars, workshops.

The travel budget for Slovak participants is 360 EUR. You must keep all the bills, boarding passes and all kinds of tickets with you because host organization needs them to reimburse your travel cost.
All participants must arrive at the accommodation on 1st December. If you will arrive earlier, they can help you look for a cheap accommodation before the project starts. Just as you can arrive earlier, you can also leave a few days after the real departure day. The actual day is 8th December but you can also leave on 9th or 10th December. ‘Youth Europa’ will not pay for the accommodation during the nights which are not included in this project. Arriving earlier or leaving later will give for participants some breathing space and you will have some time to check out other cities or places you may wish to visit.
The Training Courses will take place in Seville. Seville is the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of Andalusia and the province of Seville, Spain.
Accommodation and Venue:
Accommodation and food will be covered by the host organization.
The Training Course will take place in Seville. Participants will be hosted in Albergue Inturjoven Sevilla near the center of the city. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the same location everyday.
Weather conditions: the average temperature in December is between 15-20 C during the day. Please check accuweather.com for more updated information about the weather.
Currency in Spain: The official currency is EURO.
Dress Code: casual comfortable clothes, slippers, or sneakers for indoor, jacket and comfortable shoes for outdoor activities.
Cultural Night: each country is expected to prepare a program to present their culture, to bring some typical local drinks and foods and prepare a cultural program like the presentation of local tradition, music, dance etc.
Meals: The host organization will provide you with three meals/day. The meals will take into account all the participants dietary aspects such as allergies, intolerance, and preferences. Vegetarian menu will be also available.
Dietary/Special requirements: please inform us as soon as possible if any participant has any dietary requirements or any other special requests.
Health and travel insurance: Every participant must have insurance for the full duration of the training course. We will ask all participants to send us their original insurance together with original travel documents! You can issue yourself European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) from your country (generally it is for free, but we advise you to check in your own country).
Transport Reimbursement: participants from Slovakia are entitled to reimbursement of travel costs according to Erasmus+ travel distances up to 360 EUR for round trip.
Participation fee: 30 Euro per participant – will be collected at the first day of the event at the registration point. It is non-refundable and can not be deducted from travel costs.
