The goal is creating a common place between 8-17.12-2017 in Băile Tuşnad, Romania for youth workers from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania and Slovakia in order to work together for 8 days on discovering the meaning and the impact of the non formal methods and techniques in the youth work and develop competences in how to apply it in the context of the increased youth unemployment.

The participants will broaden their knowledge about the learning in non-formal contexts and its importance for young people’s development; become more aware of their role in empowering youths.

The Training Course will take place in Baile Tusnad. Baile Tuşnad is a town in Harghita County, Romania. It lies in the Szekely Land, an ethno-cultural region in eastern Transylvania the home of Dracula. It is a famous town known for its spas and mineral waters. Nearby is the famous crater lake, “Sfanta Ana” the only of its kind in Romania. Located in green surroundings between the Harghita and Bodoc mountains, very rich is natural resources it offers a unique beauty of the landscape full of forests, rivers and lakes.
Accommodation and Food
Accommodation and food will be covered by the host organization. The project will be held at 3 stars hotel IRIS Pension. Accommodation will be grouped by gender. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the same location every day. Each room has its own bathroom and modern furniture. There is very limited wireless internet in the public area, the speed might be very slow in comparison to your normal internet in your country. Be prepared that you won’t get a proper internet access for the whole program.
The travel budget for Slovak participants is 275 EUR. You must keep all the bills, boarding passes and all kinds of tickets with you because host organization needs them to reimburse your travel cost.
Health and travel insurance: the participants are required by Erasmus+ program to have a valid European health insurance and a valid travel insurance for the period of the projects including the travel dates.
Weather conditions: Weather conditions: in Băile Tușnad, the average temperature in December is between -15 °C and 5 °C. Please check accuweather.com for more updated information about the weather..
Currency in Romania: the official currency is the Romanian LEU (RON). 1 EUR is about 4.5 RON.
Dress code: Casual comfortable sportswear, slippers or sneakers for indoor, winter clothes and comfortable shoes for outdoor activities. As it is a mountain area, we expect some snow, so bring warm jackets and comfortable shoes for indoor and outdoor activities.
Cultural nights: each country is expected to prepare a program to present their culture, to bring some typical local drinks and foods and prepare a cultural program like presentation of local tradition, music, dance etc.
Meals: the host will provide you with three meals/day and two coffee breaks. The meals will take into account all the participants dietary aspects such as allergies, intolerance and preferences. We will also have vegetarian.
