EVS as One more step toward Inclusion!

“EVS as One more step toward Inclusion” is a project, which in the first mobility will connect 30 youth workers/leaders coming from 9 European countries. During the 10 day training, supported by experienced trainers, the participants will have the opportunity to tackle all issues connected with the EVS and other volunteering possibilities, on European level, with special focus on developing programs for supporting young people with fewer opportunities.

The participants will broaden their knowledge about the learning in non-formal contexts and its importance for young people’s development; become more aware of e Erasmus Plus Programme, especially EVS as tool for empowerment of young people.

Objectives of the project
- To learn how to guide the process of acquiring EVS accreditation and to increase
their capacities in developing accreditations and programs for supporting young
people with fewer opportunities.
- To learn more about the EVS cycles and how to prepare application for volunteering
project within the Erasmus Plus Programme.
- To develop partnership on European level, which they can use in the volunteering
projects in the future.
- To gain knowledge and develop skills and attitudes needed for supporting volunteers
before, during and after the end of the volunteering service.
- To improve their skills in the field of teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and
creativity, skills that are every vital and important in the everyday work with the
The Training Course will take place in Kaštel Kambelovac, SPLIT, CROATIA. The town of Kaštela is located on the coast of the Bay of Kaštela. It has over 40 000 inhabitants, and it is the second largest town in the Split and Dalmatia County.
Accommodation and Food
Accommodation and food will be covered by the host organization. The project will be held at Hotel BALETNA SKOLA, Kastela. Accommodation will be grouped by gender. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the same location every day. During the activities, the participants and leaders will be hosted in rooms with 2 and 3 beds, with private bathrooms.
The travel budget for Slovak participants is 275 EUR. You must keep all the bills, boarding passes and all kinds of tickets with you because host organization needs them to reimburse your travel cost.
How to get there?
For participants traveling by airplane, the organization suggests you use the airport in Zagreb or the airport in Split, depending on the price of the tickets. If you arrive on the airport in Zagreb, you can take the bus from the airport to the main bus station in Zagreb and then you can take a bus or train to Split. You can also arrive by bus or train from your city on the bus or train station in Zagreb. From the main bus station in Zagreb there is bus to Split every half an hour, starting from 06:00 AM till midnight every day. When you arrive on the airport, bus/train station or ferry port in Split, someone from hosting team will pick
you up and take you to the hotel.
Health and travel insurance: the participants are required by Erasmus+ program to have a valid European health insurance and a valid travel insurance for the period of the projects including the travel dates.

Currency in Romania: the official currency is the Kuna. 1 EUR is about 7.4 Kuna.
Dress code: Casual comfortable sportswear, slippers or sneakers for indoor, winter clothes and comfortable shoes for outdoor activities. As it is a mountain area, we expect some snow, so bring warm jackets and comfortable shoes for indoor and outdoor activities.
Cultural nights: each country is expected to prepare a program to present their culture, to bring some typical local drinks and foods and prepare a cultural program like presentation of local tradition, music, dance etc.
Meals: the host will provide you with three meals/day and two coffee breaks. The meals will take into account all the participants dietary aspects such as allergies, intolerance and preferences. We will also have vegetarian.
